What is Joshua Tarrant Trust?

Joshua Tarrant Trust is a Charitable Trust which aims to support children with brain tumours.  We have a website www.joshuatarranttrust.org.uk

Personal data which we collect about you

Personal data or information means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified.  It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).  We collect a variety of information about you and visitors to the Joshua Tarrant Trust website.  This personal data includes the following:

·       Your internet protocol (IP) address

·       Your billing address

·       Your delivery address

·       Email address and telephone numbers

·       An encrypted version of your login/password (for account holders)

·       Details about payments and products you have ordered from us

·       Usage data about how you use our website (see `Cookies’ below)

Financial Data:  Please note we do not have access to your payment card details.

How is your personal data collected?

You may give us personal data by browsing on our website; placing an order for our products; setting up a Joshua Tarrant Trust account; contacting us directly via our online contact form, through the post, by phone, email or by communicating with us on social media.

 How we use your personal data

We use your data mainly to process any orders you make with My Blue Heart.  We may also use it to contact you with any queries we have about an order or to reply to any direct communications you make to us.  We do not currently use your data for direct marketing purposes.  However, where we have your express permission to use your contact details for this purpose we will inform you if this changes at any point in the future.

The legal bases we rely on to process personal data

GDPR says that we are allowed to use and share personal data only where we have a proper reason to do so.  Our lawful basis for processing are:

·        Contract - your personal information is processed in order to fulfil a contractual arrangement e.g. in order to send you your order.

·        Consent - where you agree to us using your information in this way e.g. for sending you emails about new information or developments. 

Cookies

Disclosures of your personal data

Data security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being used in an unauthorised way.  In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those who need to know.  They will only process your personal data for the purposes laid out in this privacy policy and subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Our website includes links to third-party websites and applications (for example, Facebook).  Clicking on those links may allow third parties to collect or share your data.  We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements.  We encourage you to read the privacy policy of each website you visit.

Data retention

We will only keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.  By law we have to keep basic information about our customers for six years after they stop being customers for tax purposes.
